Our Mission
ME Family Services offers young children and families a safe haven and the inspiration to develop their life skills, enjoyment of life and their participation in a just and caring society.
Our Kaupapa
Manaakitanga – The fire within each of us, the drive that makes us want to change things for the better, for ourselves and the community.
Whakawhanaungatanga – It is all about the family. It all starts with the children and their relationships with the family. Connected families are better at connecting with the community and our purpose is to facilitate the connection.
Commitment to continuous self-development – Life is a gift. What we make of it, whatever our circumstances is down to each of us to decide – whether to accept the way things are, or to make the necessary decisions and take the necessary actions to grow, and create the story we will tell about ourselves.
Regenerative growth – Our legacy for our children and grandchildren will be about the positive changes we make for the long haul. Social Enterprise initiatives that improve community living and fulfil potential will be self-sustaining and not rely only on outside funding They will reinforce cultural and family values and not have any adverse effect on our environment. They will contribute to making us stronger so we can undertake new opportunities.
