History
Every story has a beginning. This is ours…
Ever since 1993 when it all started, Mangere East Family Service Centre has worked hard to be a pillar of strength in our community. Our strengths in Early Childhood, Parenting Engagement and Whanau Support are well known and we can be proud of our achievements, the special relationships we have built, as well as the sustainable organisation we have become. Indeed it is because of our growth and the extent of our involvement in an increasing range of social issues that we have decided to change our name and visual identity.
This therefore introduces ME Family Services as well as a fresh and compelling new look and feel that reflects more closely the positive energy that every one of our people brings to the wider Mangere and Otahuhu community. ME stands for participation resilience and empowerment. It is also about a group of committed individuals working together to help people achieve their full potential and inspire positive change in our community.
Reverend Peter Sykes is very excited about the new look and invites you to embrace it. Whether you’ve been with us for many years or you’re just meeting ME for the first time, the true energy of ME Family Services lies in each person’s ability to say ‘it’s up to me’
