Manaaki Tangata

Manager: Carole Tana-Tepania

Manaaki Tangata Team has a Practice Leader (Pativaine Efaraimo) and three Community Social Workers (Kula Alapaki ,Senior SW, Alfred Uluheua and Phillina Kauri-Tumai) who are available to people who need support with making a positive plan for change, which often involves advocacy with Government and other agencies. We work on behalf of families who have children at Mangere East School as our facility is built on the school's land.

You are welcome to phone for an appointment to discuss the kinds of support we have available, or just drop in at the Centre - we have a brochure on our service that you are welcome to pick up. Most of our work with people is done one-on-one, sometimes at home, and at our offices. Support is normally available during office hours only.

We offer:
Government Agency advocacy: WINZ, Housing NZ, Court support, Police, CYFS Household management, Parenting support, Relationship skills, negotiation and Voluntary Anger Management and Life skills

We don't provide:
Court-ordered Anger Management, or Drug and Alcohol Counselling ...but we will try to provide you with information to help you get the services you need
